Bowmore 10 Year Old Devils Cask Batch #1

Released in October 2013, this release from Bowmore barely even reached retailer shelves.  The Devil is rumoured to have escaped Bowmore in one of the distilleries casks, after being chased from the famous church in Bowmore; which has no corners so he was unable to hide there. 

This release was matured exclusively in first fill sherry casks and bottled at cask strength, It was very limited, with only 540 bottles available in the UK and no more than 6,000 worldwide.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Cigar box, oily, peat smoke, dried raisin with dark chocolate.
• Palate: Dark red berries, peat smoke, rich and fruity, spice of clove and black pepper.
• Finish:  A long fruity finish of raisins, plum, clove, cinnamon and nutmeg.
